    Last.FM

Last.FM signature image generator, Sonabble, a call for help, and holes in my face

    June 25th, 2008

First and foremost, yet another script by LNR Studios - this one is a nice little script that generates a now playing signature image based on what the current song is on Last.FM! It displays album artwork if it can find it, too.

Awesome, no? Requires GD Library, PHP4 and changing of the user that is hardcoded into the file.

Get the zip (background file included) here.

    Next up: Sonabble!

What is Sonabble, you might ask? Well, regardless of if you ask that or not, Sonabble is a new music social network being created by LNR Studios. A sort of mashup between Twitter and Last.FM, it’ll be easier to see what I mean when you get a chance to play around with it. Currently it is in early, early beta stages, with most of the site operational, just have to make everything look pretty before making an official beta release.

What I do need, however, are a few willing fellow programmers to create plugins for various media players. Currently Sonabble can only work with Amarok (every Linux user should be using it), but seeing as Amarok isn’t the most used media player, and is dwarfed by WMP, Winamp &c. I could really use some help with that area. Contact me (at lnrzzz[at]gmail[dot]com) if you have any experience in that field, I have no clue even what languages they use, and I’ll give you all the info you need.

Currently an online acquaintance, Zyrjello, and myself are the sole users of it. Together we have submitted over 1,500 tracks to the database. This information can be seen live here. You too can be on a plain white page o’ data if you’re an Amarok user (or write a plugin for your media player), contact me (the above email address) and I’ll hook you up.Last, and probably least, I got snakebites, the aforementioned birthday present to myself. Here’s me with em, I currently have little cone studs in, however, for work.

“I’m great, and everybody knows it, takes work to look so sweet”

    May 14th, 2008

-Nightboast by Nightbeast from the album Inside Jokes for Outside Folks…buy his album!

So life has been taking a pretty awesome turn. Graduating in 4 days, turning 18 in 14 days. Got contacts, turning into a sex(ier) beast. I have stopped playing games nearly completely, programing too…but I’m not stopping.

All projects have been put on a hiatus until the unforseeable future, working on some stuff in my life right now, outside of the tech world…I’m a much happier person now, probably because I think that I’ve finally found what makes me really happy. Lame sounding, yes, but I am pretty happy right now. Happiest I’ve been in a long while. Feels great.

Don’t know what I’ll start on next, programing wise. I want to do something big. Real big. What that big thing is, I can’t be sure, but I have some cool stuff floating around in that head of mine. We’ll see.

I do need a new mouse, if anyone wants to buy me one. Clicking doesn’t work right, something is interfering with the connection, I’m kinda growing tired of it, I think it is my phone. I’m spending all of my money on concert tickets and a birthday present to myself that I’ve been wanting for awhile. Check back on the like, 29th to see pictures. If my ‘rents don’t disown me.

    What’s in the now

    March 14th, 2008

First things first, got my iPhone. Amazing piece of technology, everyone should get one if they have the means.

Picture of my reflection with it just taken moments ago:

    Clickie!

Next up: LNR Connect has been held up in light of a new project: unnamed PHP Bot.

What is it, you may ask? A bot for WoW. Question answered. Boom.

But seriously, it is a bot written in PHP, that will be capable of doing BGs as well as grinding via two things: PHP and a third party application called AutoIt which allows keyboard emulation on Windows. It is going to use a fairly smart method of doing the botting, which should be undetectable by Warden, seeing as PHP seems to be nothing major. What it will be doing is before any major decision, the bot will force WoW to save a screenshot, then quickly analyze it via the GD library. It will then kindly delete the file as to not fill up your HDD with shit :).

More details to come on that when the time comes.

    March 1st, 2008

Yep, sold my PSP for $120 (despite what the auction says), which means I had the funds to buy my iPhone which will be here on Tuesday, probably.

    Epic.
